Carlyn's parents knew she was destined to be a theatre kid from the time she was old enough to ask Santa Claus for an agent for Christmas(true story). The oldest of four girls, Carlyn is outspoken, outgoing, and open-hearted. Finding a second home in Charlotte, NC, community theatre spaces was the beginning of a lifelong love for theatre people, musical theatre, and the magic of the performing arts.

Carlyn graduated Summa Cum Laude with her BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory in May 2023. She then graduated with her Master of Science (M.S.) in Performing Arts Leadership and Management in May 2024. Carlyn's four years at Shenandoah were majorly impacted by her time spent as the lead recruitment assistant for University Admissions and her time on the school's comedy improv team, The Loaf.  ​​
